 How children can make the best use of summer holidays ? 

 

As the coronavirus pandemic forces governments worldwide to impose lockdowns and curfews, celebrating holidays like the upcoming summer holidays may be different from the previous years due to the preventative measures and social distancing rules.

To give oneself a break, and enjoy the past-time, they mustmake best use of their holidays with family members and friends.

d) Organize an at-home movie night

SDG – 12 : Responsible Consumption and Promotion

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a collection of 17 global goals designed to be a "blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all". The SDGs, set in 2015 by the United Nations and intended to be achieved by the year 2030. 

The targets of ‘Goal 12’ include using eco-friendly production methods and reducing the amount of waste. By 2030, national recycling rates should increase, as measured in tons of material recycled.

Create BEST-OUT-OF-WASTE models

One man’s trash is another man’s treasure!

Do you have old toy, show piece, plastic bottle, CDs, etclying in your house that you think you don’t need them? Why not make the best use of these ‘waste items’ ! It will not just keep your kids busy, but also encourage them to try out new things.

Recycling and reusing the valuable waste materials can result in development of fantastic and usable products. Rather than putting the waste materials into the landfills, various innovative and creative ideas can be put together to being something new and useful.

 

 

This will eventually achieve the following objective :- 

• To develop the ability to think and organize the thinking to create something useful. 

• To indulge the students into a extracurricular activity with exclusive tool i.e. waste material. 

• To explore the environmental concepts and actions which are beyond the curriculum & syllabus.

• To make our vision and outlook broader about the nature & society. 

• To control the harmful effects of waste on our environment.

Here are some ideas to create beautiful BEST-OUT-OF-WASTE  Models :

Its difficult to find places near the plug points to keep our costly mobile phones while they are ‘charged’.

Children of Qatar have the best lifestyle in the world

 Expats Children in Qatar : The Luckier Oneson Earth

The children of the expats are the luckiest lot here in Qatar. The income/status of the family notwithstanding, these children have the best of the best facilities and privileges that can be provided by their parents. Moreover, the government of Qatar enables the parents to give them the maximum family-time ever possible on the Mother Planet.

Back home in their own native place, the parents may toil hard, and sacrifice the family time to try to provide such facilities and privileges to their children, but the local administration fails them. Frequent power-cuts, increased pollution, inflation, unstable political situation, crimes, etc negate the conjugal environment. Children are isolated from their parents, thereby making them waste the quality time by mixing more with their friends and neighbours, which at times isdetrimental for their development.

In countries like US, Canada and Australia, very rarely both the parents and their children are at home at one time. If the children are at home, the mother or the father is out on duty. Some say that they keep the father’s photograph near the tiny totsto remind them about the appearance of their father, or else they might comment seeing their father that “Mom, Uncle is at the door !!”.Frequent cases of drug abuse, mental diseases and failed marriages are some results of the environment the children are brought up in these countries.

Here in the Middle East, esp. in Qatar, there is boom in economy, and more and more expats are arriving, making stiff competition for admission in schools.  Whatever be the salary status of the parents, the children are given the best education in the schools, where latest technology has been incorporated to make them grasp knowledge efficiently and quickly. At home, the parents enable 24 hours internet facility, extra classes, etc etc. Residential apartments give them free assess to gymnasium and swimming pools. Free landline calls make it possible for unlimited over-the-phone discussions to seek/solve any problem in their studies. Parents can give maximum attention to their children as they are mostly at home in the evening. Absence of private transport makes the parents accompany their children to Malls, eateries, parks and cinema halls. 

Even in the current pandemic, the children here do not miss any class as the parents are ever-equipped to give their wards the latest gadgets as required for virtual-classes. In case of families who may not have more than one laptops for their children, organisations like the Qatar Charity and ICBF have come forward  to provide one so that no one can be deprived of education.

I would therefore, address all my dear children here in Qatar, to take the most out of the advantages they are getting, and thank God as well as the Emir for giving their parents a chance to stay in this country.

Dont worry for future! Always think of your duties only & be Happy

We cannot control things about to happen in our future. We cannot correct/rectify things that happened in our past. We can only experience and ponder about things that are occuring now...... in our present lives !!!

Why do we have to be so serious of our selves when nothing is in our control?Why do we fight for something which we cannot forcibly capture/obtain in our future ? Why do we feel sad of something which we couldnot achieve in our past even if we worked so hard for it? Shouldn't we realize that we couldnot control our future then which is our present now?

We must go on doing our duties and enjoy the fruitful days presented to us by GOD in our day to day life. We must not quarrel or fight or be negative about some of our results as we have no contol of them 100%.....

JUST BE HAPPY and wait for the future to unfold as it is destined in our lives !!!

21st century reality

When everything is so scientifically controlled and analysed, with so many new inventions, the homosapiens are moving more towards GOD, hoping for HIS help to defuse tensions and bring relief on this MOTHER PLANET. Can USA or any other developed country bring together the broken hearts, lost peace and the angry citizens who are losing their near & dear ones in the everyday bloodbath in this modern world??? Where has the so-called brokers of PEACE gone??? shouldn't we seek GOD's intervention in this grave situation??
